The Unbox design festival is a platform that is actively searching for the intersections between design, society, art, politics and industry. It is held in a yearly tonus in various locations over the capital area of Delhi/India.
Jörn, as supporting part of the organizing team, was looking for an object that is carrying the central meaning of the festival.
We developed a single geometrical form that is stackable in a variety of ways. Each piece should represent the uniqueness and difference of the festivals participants and topics which is together evolving into something completely new.
The single form was later being handmade by local craftsmen in a paper folding technique and in different colors. Finally the structure was built up in a tree/waveform in front of the festivals main building, the British Council in New Delhi.
